Henfynyw is a small, rural community in Ceredigion on the west coast of Wales, set among rolling farmland and quiet lanes with easy access to the coast and nearby towns such as Aberaeron and Aberystwyth. The settlement is largely dispersed - farms, a few clusters of houses and lanes rather than a dense village centre - and offers open views towards Cardigan Bay and the surrounding countryside.
The area is best known for its long-standing church dedicated to St David, which by local tradition has early Christian associations and a tangible sense of history in its fabric and churchyard. Economically it remains grounded in agriculture, with livestock and mixed farms predominant, while holiday accommodation and low-key tourism bring supplementary income; socially it retains a close-knit, community feel with local events, walks and an appreciation for the quieter rural life of the county.
