Bagillt is a village and parish on the north bank of the River Dee estuary in Flintshire, Wales. It lies on the A548 coast road between Flint and Connah's Quay, with tidal flats and saltmarshes along the shore and low hills inland, offering coastal walks and good birdlife while keeping close links to the wider North Wales coast.
Historically the area developed through coal and lead workings and small‑scale shipping in the 18th and 19th centuries, and remnants of that industrial past survive in old workings and terraced housing. Today Bagillt is largely residential, with many people commuting to nearby jobs on Deeside or in neighbouring towns, but it retains a strong local community, Welsh cultural threads and easy access to the estuary and countryside.
