Talacre is a small coastal village on the north coast of Flintshire in Wales, sitting beside the broad sands of the Dee Estuary. It’s best known for Talacre Beach, a long stretch of golden sand backed by dunes that attract walkers, birdwatchers and watersports enthusiasts, and the informal seaside atmosphere that comes with holiday caravans and day visitors.
The village is also marked by the distinctive 19th‑century Talacre Lighthouse, now a decommissioned but much‑photographed local landmark. The local economy leans on coastal tourism and small businesses, while the dunes and shoreline are valued for their wildlife interest, giving the place a quiet mix of conservation, community life and seasonal visitor culture.
