Gogledd Pwllheli sits on the northern edge of the market town of Pwllheli in Gwynedd, on the western side of the Llŷn Peninsula overlooking Cardigan Bay. The ward includes parts of the town’s harbour and marina area and is shaped by its coastal geography, with estuarine channels such as the nearby Afon Erch and a mix of Victorian streets, modern housing and seafront facilities.
Locally the area shares Pwllheli’s strong Welsh-language culture and a small-town economy based on tourism, boating and local services; visitors are drawn to sailing, beach walks and the town’s market while residents benefit from community groups, primary schools and longstanding maritime links. There are also quieter, more residential corners that reflect the town’s evolution from a 19th-century market and port to a contemporary coastal centre.
