Rhosneigr is a small coastal village on the west side of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, set between sandy beaches, dunes and the sheltered freshwater of Llyn Maelog. Facing the Irish Sea, it’s well known for excellent watersports - windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing are popular - and the Anglesey Coastal Path runs close by, offering pleasant walks and good birdwatching along the shore.
Originally a modest fishing settlement, Rhosneigr now depends heavily on tourism, holiday accommodation and local hospitality, though a year‑round community remains with pubs, cafes and a sailing club. The nearby RAF Valley adds an unusual aviation buzz to the area. Summers are lively with visitors and watersport events, while the village keeps a quieter, community‑minded feel outside the season, with a strong presence of the Welsh language and local traditions.
