Newport in Pembrokeshire, Wales is a compact coastal town on the north side of the county, sitting where the River Nevern meets Cardigan Bay. It lies inside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is known for its pebble beach, sheltered estuary and the popular walks around Dinas Head, which give dramatic cliff and sea views.
With medieval roots and a historic quay, Newport was once a modest coastal port and today its economy is centred on tourism, local services and surrounding agriculture. The town retains a friendly, village atmosphere with independent shops, cafes and plenty of outdoor activities - sea kayaking, coastal walking and wildlife spotting are all draws for visitors and locals alike.
