Gwersyllt North is the northern ward of the village of Gwersyllt in Wrexham County Borough, north‑east Wales, sitting just to the north of Wrexham city centre. The ward combines older 19th‑century terraces with post‑war and modern housing and was shaped by coal and clay working and the arrival of the railways, leaving traces of disused pits and railway lines in the local landscape; historically the area fell within the county of Denbighshire.
Today it is largely residential with local shops, schools and community facilities, and a mixed local economy of small businesses and light industry while many people commute to Wrexham or Chester. There are pockets of green space and popular walking routes, active sports clubs and community events that contribute to a strong local identity, and the remnants of its industrial past attract interest from local historians and walkers.
