Biddenham is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Bedford, Bedfordshire, lying a couple of miles west of Bedford on the south side of the River Great Ouse. It occupies a mix of river meadows, arable fields and a compact historic core: the parish church has medieval origins and there are several attractive older houses and lanes that give parts of the village a conservation-area feel.
Today the community is largely residential with a primary school, village hall, local shops and active sports and social clubs; many people commute into Bedford and beyond (including London by rail). The village keeps a distinctly rural character with footpaths, small nature spots and regular community events that reflect its agricultural past and close-knit social life.
