Little Lever is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, in Greater Manchester, historically part of Lancashire. It sits in the Irwell valley a few miles east of Bolton town centre, beside the River Irwell and close to Moses Gate Country Park, which gives the area an unexpected stretch of green space amid its former industrial landscape.

Once a 19th‑century mill and coal‑mining community with rows of workers’ terraces and chemical works, Little Lever has largely become a residential suburb with local shops, light industry and many commuters travelling to Bolton and Manchester. The town retains a strong local identity through community centres, churches and amateur sports clubs, and several former industrial sites have been redeveloped or softened by new housing and parkland.
