Kinson

The Kinson electoral ward lies to the north‑west of Bournemouth in the unitary authority of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and covers the long‑established village and surrounding suburban neighbourhoods. It is largely residential, with a mix of private housing and council estates, local shops, a community centre, library and recreation grounds, and benefits from reasonable road links into Bournemouth town centre and to Bournemouth Airport.

Historically a separate village that was absorbed into Bournemouth during 20th‑century expansion, Kinson still keeps a distinct local identity with pockets of green space and heathland such as Kinson Common. As an electoral ward it returns councillors to the unitary council and is known for active community groups, grassroots sports clubs and village‑focused amenities around the parish hub and St Andrew's Church.
