Wharfedale is a ward in the metropolitan district of Bradford, England, covering villages along the River Wharfe such as Burley-in-Wharfedale and Menston. It sits on the eastern fringe of the Yorkshire Dales, so attractive stone-built villages, riverside walks and easy countryside access are defining features, while regular rail services provide straightforward commutes into Leeds and Bradford.
Historically the valley supported small mills and quarrying, and today the ward mixes long-established local communities with newer commuters and families; independent shops, good schools and active community groups are common. The balance of village amenities, outdoor recreation and transport links makes the area a popular and relatively affluent part of the district.
