Long Crendon is a large village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, sitting close to the county boundary with Oxfordshire and within easy reach of Thame and Aylesbury. It lies on the edge of the rolling countryside that leads up to the Chilterns and is surrounded by farmland, making it popular with walkers and people who commute to Oxford or London.
The village has a well preserved medieval core with timber‑framed buildings and a substantial manor house dating from the 13th century, a reminder of its former role as a market town. Today Long Crendon combines a quiet rural economy with a lively local community, visible in village events, pubs and clubs, and its attractive streetscape has made it a favourite for period filming and conservation interest.
