Alconbury is a village and civil parish in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, England, lying a few miles north‑west of Huntingdon and within commuting distance of Cambridge and Peterborough. It sits close to major road links including the A1, which has helped shape its role as a local transport and logistics hub.
Historically a small agricultural settlement, the village became better known in the 20th century for RAF Alconbury, a former RAF station later used by the United States Air Force, and the adjacent Alconbury Weald development, where part of the old airfield has been transformed into homes, business parks and amenities. The mix of traditional village pubs, community groups and growing commercial activity gives Alconbury a blend of rural character and contemporary economic life.
