Little Paxton is a riverside village in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, England, sitting on the south bank of the River Great Ouse just a couple of miles from St Neots. Its most striking feature is Paxton Pits, a series of former gravel workings now managed as a nature reserve renowned for birdlife, lakes and winding trails that attract walkers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Historically the local economy centred on farming and gravel extraction, but the village has grown into a largely residential, commuter community with good road and rail access towards Cambridge and London. Despite that, Little Paxton retains a strong local spirit with a primary school, village hall and active clubs and churches, giving it a mix of quiet rural character and everyday community life.
