Melbourn is a large village and civil parish in South Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire, England, lying around 12 miles south of Cambridge close to the border with Hertfordshire and the market town of Royston. It occupies the shallow valley of the River Mel and has a long history visible in its medieval parish church, older stone cottages and a pattern of lanes and greens that reflect its agricultural past.
