Steeple Morden is a small village and civil parish in South Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire, England, sitting on the chalk and boulder-clay landscape close to the Hertfordshire border and not far from the market town of Royston. Its position near the line of the ancient Icknield Way gives it a quietly rural, well-connected feel: lanes and public footpaths link it to neighbouring villages and the wider Fenland–chalkland countryside rather than to heavy urban sprawl.
The village has a long history reflected in its medieval church with a prominent steeple and in the remains of the Second World War airfield at RAF Steeple Morden, which was an important base for Allied fighter squadrons. Today the local economy is mainly agricultural with arable farms and smallholdings, while a lively village community is kept going by a village hall, pub and local clubs that stage traditional events and support rural life.
