Aspley Heath is a small, largely rural parish in Central Bedfordshire, sitting on the greensand and heathland that separates Bedfordshire from Buckinghamshire. The landscape is dominated by pockets of pine and mixed woodland, commons and sandy soils, and it blends into the neighbouring low hills and country estates around Woburn and the small town of Woburn Sands, with the edge of Milton Keynes not far away.
Aspley Heath has a quiet, residential character with scattered homes, small farms and a lot of recreational walking and wildlife interest rather than industry; it has historic roots as common land and part of larger manor landscapes so you’ll find traces of traditional land management and estate influences. The parish community is small and largely commuter- and countryside-oriented, enjoying access to local trails and woodlands while relying on nearby towns for most services and employment.
