Woburn is a compact historic village and civil parish in Central Bedfordshire, set on the rolling countryside of the Greensand Ridge between Bedford and Milton Keynes. The village retains a tidy Georgian high street, a small green and a parish church, giving it a quintessentially rural Bedfordshire character despite good road links to nearby towns.
Much of life and the local economy is shaped by the long-established estate at Woburn Abbey, whose landscaped park and collections draw visitors, and by attractions such as Woburn Safari Park and the championship Woburn Golf Club. Tourism, estate management and hospitality sit alongside a small residential community, with boutique shops, tearooms and seasonal events helping to sustain the village’s social fabric.
