Gwinear-Gwithian & Hayle East is a coastal ward in Cornwall, England, covering the eastern side of Hayle and the neighbouring villages of Gwithian and Gwinear. It sits on the edge of St Ives Bay, so the landscape mixes sand dunes and wide beaches with the tidal channels of the nearby Hayle Estuary.
The estuary is important for wintering waders and wildfowl and is protected as an SSSI, while sandy Gwithian Towans is a well known surf spot. Hayle Harbour and its 19th‑century industrial heritage have seen regeneration, leaving a local economy that blends tourism, small businesses and commuting, alongside active community, conservation and arts scenes.
