The tiny civil parish of Trevalga sits on the rugged north coast of Cornwall, tucked between Boscastle and Tintagel. Its landscape is classic north‑Cornish: steep coastal cliffs, narrow combes and small fields broken by hedgerows, with the South West Coast Path running through and attracting walkers who come for dramatic sea views and a feeling of remoteness.
Trevalga has a very small population and a long rural history, with farming still central to local life alongside holiday lets and visitor‑focused services that swell numbers in summer. Parts of the coastline and estate are managed with conservation in mind, and the parish retains a strong sense of traditional Cornish character, layered with the historic footprint of a small manor and centuries of coastal settlement and seafaring connections.
