Monyash is a small village and civil parish in the Derbyshire Dales of Derbyshire, England, sitting on the limestone plateau of the White Peak in the Peak District. It overlooks the dramatic, dry valleys and clear springs of places such as Lathkill Dale and the River Lathkill, making it popular with walkers, cavers and anyone after classic Peak scenery.
Historically the settlement grew on lead-mining and droving routes, and the roomy village green, stone troughs and cottages still hint at that past; the medieval St Leonard's Church is another notable survivor. Today it is a small, close-knit agricultural and visitor-serving community with a pub, village hall and regular local events, valued for its rural character and easy access to nearby dales and trails.
