Furness Vale is a small village in High Peak, Derbyshire, England, sitting in the valley of the River Goyt beneath Fernilee Reservoir and Errwood Reservoir on the edge of the Peak District. The settlement grew in the 19th century around the railway and local industry, and it still has a station on the line to Manchester and Buxton, making it popular with commuters as well as with walkers and cyclists exploring the Goyt Valley. Today Furness Vale combines a quiet, community-focused village life with easy access to outdoor recreation and the reminders of its industrial past.
