Framfield is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Wealden, East Sussex, England, lying a couple of miles south‑east of Uckfield in the rolling countryside of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The landscape is typified by hedgerow‑lined lanes, ancient woodland and scattered farms, and the village itself retains a number of attractive timber‑framed cottages clustered around a village green.
Historically a longstanding agricultural community, Framfield still feels rural but functions increasingly as a commuter and small‑business hub, with locals travelling to nearby towns and the larger centres such as Brighton or London. The parish has a strong community spirit centred on its village hall, church and local events, and several listed buildings and lanes give a tangible sense of its historic roots.
