Feering is a civil parish in the district of Braintree, Essex, England, set in the gently rolling, agricultural landscape of north Essex. It sits close to the larger village of Kelvedon and the historic market town of Coggeshall, with the River Blackwater and the A12 corridor not far away, giving relatively easy road links and access to Kelvedon railway station for services towards Colchester, Chelmsford and London Liverpool Street.
Despite modern commuter influences, the parish retains a village character: a compact historic core with timber-framed cottages and several listed buildings, a village hall and pub, and an active local community organising events and clubs. The local economy remains a mix of arable and pastoral farming, small businesses and light industry on the periphery, so it balances rural life with practical links to nearby towns.
