Frinton and Walton is a coastal civil parish in Tendring, Essex, England, encompassing the genteel resort of Frinton-on-Sea and the busier seaside town of Walton-on-the-Naze. It occupies a long stretch of east‑facing coastline with sandy and shingle beaches and the low clay headland of The Naze, whose distinctive Naze Tower and nearby cliffs make the area important for geology and birdwatching.
Developed as Victorian and Edwardian resorts, the towns still have a largely residential, retirement‑friendly character - Frinton-on-Sea is noted for its tidy green and sheltered private beach traditions while Walton-on-the-Naze attracts summer visitors to its pier and seafront amusements. Local life is sustained by tourism, holiday homes and small businesses, with active community clubs and ongoing concerns about coastal erosion and sea‑defence work.
