St. Bartholomew's is a small electoral ward in the district of Tendring, in Essex, England. It combines residential streets and pockets of green space and takes much of its character from the nearby east‑coast towns and rural hinterland, so local life is shaped by a mix of seaside tourism, agriculture and small‑scale local services.
The ward takes its name from a historic parish church and contains a number of older buildings alongside more recent housing; community halls, local shops and volunteer groups play an important role in everyday life. Like parts of Tendring generally, it has an active community concerned with issues such as local services, transport links to places like Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea, and the balance between conservation and modest regeneration.
