Wrabness is a small village and civil parish in the district of Tendring, in Essex, England, lying on the north bank of the River Stour estuary close to Harwich. The setting is predominantly rural, with salt marshes and riverside reedbeds that attract birdwatchers and walkers and give the place a distinctly coastal-countryside feel.
The community is compact and historically layered, with a handful of older buildings, a village church and traces of 20th‑century coastal defences; local life is sustained by farming, small-scale tourism and commuting by rail towards Colchester and the ports. Visitors and residents appreciate the strong sense of place, wildlife interest and easy access to estuary walks and sailing on the Stour.
