Lydbrook is a village and civil parish on the eastern edge of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, England, occupying wooded valley slopes above the River Wye and close to the scenic Wye Valley.
Historically a busy industrial community centred on ironworking, coal mining and timber and wire trades - evidence of which survives in old quarries, mills and other industrial archaeology - it today combines local services and small businesses with forestry, outdoor recreation and a strong community life seen in village halls, pubs and regular events, though low-lying parts by the river can still be prone to occasional flooding.
