Drybrook is a village on the northern edge of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, England, sitting close to the towns of Cinderford and Mitcheldean. It grew substantially in the 19th century with ironworking, coal and quarrying, and you can still see traces of that industrial past in old miners’ cottages and disused workings tucked into the surrounding woodland.
Today Drybrook combines a strong local community – pubs, a village hall and sports clubs including a well-supported rugby side – with easy access to walking and cycling in the ancient Forest, making it popular with outdoor enthusiasts and commuters who value its rural setting and scenic views.
