Moreton Valence is a small village and civil parish in the district of Stroud, Gloucestershire, England. It lies on the low-lying floodplain of the River Severn in the Severn Vale, giving broad views across marshy farmland and easy access to nearby Gloucester and Stroud.
The village is best known for its quiet rural character and for a 20th‑century airfield that was used for military and aircraft testing; traces of that aviation past remain among hedgerows and fields. Today Moreton Valence is a largely agricultural community with country lanes, rich birdlife on the floodplain and a close‑knit local social life, while many residents commute to the surrounding towns for work.
