Monk Sherborne is a small, largely rural village and civil parish in Basingstoke and Deane, Hampshire, England. Set among rolling farmland, hedgerows and pockets of ancient woodland, it retains a quiet, historic character - the "Monk" element of the name reflects former monastic ownership in the medieval period and there are still a number of older buildings and a parish church clustered along narrow lanes.
Today the local economy is mainly agricultural with many homes serving as residences for people who commute to nearby Basingstoke and other towns. Social life is small scale and community-led, centred on parish activities, countryside pursuits and the network of footpaths and bridleways that attract walkers and riders.
