Worldham in East Hampshire sits a couple of miles east of the market town of Alton, tucked into the undulating chalk of the Hampshire Downs on the edge of the South Downs National Park. The parish includes the small villages of East Worldham and West Worldham and the surrounding farmland, with ancient lanes, public footpaths and woodland that attract walkers and riders.
It has clear medieval roots and retains a cluster of historic cottages, farmhouses and village churches, while agriculture remains important alongside a modest commuter population working in nearby towns. The community has a quietly traditional feel with local events and a close-knit social life, and lies close to local heritage such as the deserted medieval site at Hartley Mauditt and the wider tapestry of Hampshire market towns.
