Botley is a village and civil parish in the borough of Eastleigh, Hampshire, England, set beside the winding River Hamble. The village has a compact historic core with older buildings and a traditional high street, and its riverside location gives it a maritime feel and good access to the Solent and nearby ports.
Today many people commute to Southampton and surrounding towns, while the local economy is supported by small shops, services and some light industry on the outskirts; the river brings boating and related businesses. Community life is active, with local clubs, events and countryside footpaths making it popular with families and walkers as well as sailors.
