Mytchett is a village in north‑west Surrey, close to the Hampshire border and the larger towns of Camberley and Frimley, and within easy reach of Guildford and London via the M3/A331 corridors. It sits amid patches of heathland, small lakes and wetlands formed by former gravel workings and is popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Historically a small rural settlement, Mytchett expanded with 19th–20th century military and commuter development - nearby military camps at Deepcut and the Blackwater Valley helped shape its character. Today it is largely residential with local shops, pubs and community groups; many people commute to nearby business centres such as Farnborough while the village retains a strong local identity and green spaces.
