Barton Stacey is a small village and civil parish in Test Valley, Hampshire, England, set on the banks of the River Dever about five miles north of Andover. It sits amid chalk downland and mixed farmland, with the wide, open spaces of Salisbury Plain not far away, making the area popular for walking, riding and wildlife spotting.
Historically rooted in agriculture, the village retains a compact historic core of cottages and a parish church while now combining farming with a number of commuters and small local enterprises. Community life is centred on the village hall, local pub and occasional events, and the surrounding hedgerows and river habitats give the place a distinctly rural character despite its good road links to nearby towns.
