Chilworth is a small village and civil parish in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England, set in the rolling chalk and farmland typical of the area and close to the market town of Romsey. It has historic roots reflected in attractive period cottages and some 19th‑century estate buildings, giving a quietly picturesque, rural character.
Today the parish is largely residential with an agricultural hinterland and a handful of local businesses; many people commute to Southampton and Winchester. Community life centres on a village hall, parish church and occasional local events, and there is ready access to footpaths, hedgerows and the chalk‑stream ecology for which the Test Valley is known.
