Middle Wallop is a small village in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England, set among the chalk downland and water meadows for which the area is known. It forms the middle of the trio of "Wallop" villages, alongside Over Wallop and Nether Wallop, and sits close to the famous chalk-stream River Test, making the locality popular for trout fishing, walking and low-density rural living.
Its most distinctive feature is the former RAF airfield at Middle Wallop, which has a strong Second World War history and is now home to Army aviation units and the Museum of Army Flying; the base remains a local employer and gives the village an aviation-heavy character with occasional training flights and events. Otherwise the economy and social life are typically rural-agriculture, equestrian activities and small-scale tourism-set within a tight-knit community conscious of conservation and local heritage.
