The village of Micheldever sits in the rural district of Winchester in Hampshire, England, occupying a quiet stretch of the Dever Valley and chalk downland a few miles north of the city. Although the historic village cluster is small and largely agricultural, its character is shaped by a medieval parish church, surrounding manor land and clear chalk streams such as the River Dever.
Transport and commuting have also been important: nearby Micheldever Station on the South Western Main Line links the parish to Winchester and London, while local farms, country houses and small businesses underpin the local economy. The area is popular with walkers and nature-lovers for its downland scenery and wildlife, and the village retains a strong rural community feel despite modern links.
