Eastry Rural is a quietly agricultural ward in the district of Dover, Kent, England, centred on the historic village of Eastry. The landscape is dominated by rolling farmland, orchards and chalk countryside with the Kent coast and the medieval port of Sandwich and seaside town of Deal not far away, so it feels rural while still being within easy reach of the coast.
The area has a long local history visible in a medieval church and timber‑framed buildings in the village, and its economy remains largely agricultural with a good number of small businesses and commuters travelling to Dover, Canterbury or Ashford. Community life is centred on village halls, parish events, pubs and a network of public footpaths and bridleways that make it popular with walkers and cyclists.
