Preston is a small civil parish in the district of Dover, Kent, England, sitting a short distance inland from the English Channel. It occupies rolling chalk downland and farmland, with countryside views that can pick out the White Cliffs and the port town of Dover, while remaining within easy commuting range of Canterbury.
With medieval origins, the settlement is centred on a parish church, traditional cottages and working farmsteads; the local economy is still largely agricultural alongside a residential population who commute to nearby towns. Community life is quiet and village-focused, with seasonal events and easy access to historic and coastal attractions such as Dover Castle, which give the parish a distinctly rural-but-connected character.
