Densole is a small rural hamlet in the district of Folkestone and Hythe, Kent, England, sited where low-lying Romney Marsh farmland meets the more undulating countryside of the North Downs. It sits close to the historic Lympne airfield and within easy reach of the distinctive shingle headland at Dungeness, and the surrounding landscape still shows traces of former military use from the world wars alongside pockets of woodland and pasture.
Locally the character is very much agricultural, with some small-scale tourism and a number of residents who commute to nearby towns such as Folkestone and Canterbury. Visitors and walkers are attracted by the coastal wildlife, quiet lanes and nearby long-distance paths, while day-to-day services tend to be found in neighbouring villages rather than in the hamlet itself, giving Densole a quiet, close‑knit feel.
