Lyminge is a large village and civil parish in the district of Folkestone and Hythe, in Kent, England, sitting in the shallow bowl of the Elham Valley beneath the North Downs and within easy reach of Folkestone and Canterbury. The village retains a village green, a historic church with very early foundations and a mix of period houses, giving it a rural yet commuter-friendly character.
Lyminge is noted for its rich Anglo-Saxon heritage - excavations have revealed an early minster and burial ground - and has active local history and heritage groups. The local economy is largely agricultural with small shops and businesses, many residents commuting to nearby towns, and community life centred on village events, local pubs and clubs; its attractive countryside and history also make it a draw for walkers and visitors.
