Stelling Minnis is a small village and civil parish in the district of Folkestone and Hythe, Kent, England, set on the chalk of the North Downs. Its name preserves the old Kentish word "minnis" for common pasture, and the village green known as the Minnis is a surviving tract of traditionally managed chalk grassland, valued for its wildflowers and butterflies and offering good views across the Downs.
There’s a strong village atmosphere centred on the church, hall, pub and a scattering of historic timber‑framed cottages; economically it remains a mix of agriculture and a commuter population with many residents working in nearby towns. Local events and commons management keep community life active, and the landscape and vernacular buildings give the place a distinctly rural Kentish character.
