Frinsted is a small, quiet village a few miles south‑east of Maidstone set in the undulating chalk countryside of Kent in England. Nestled on the fringes of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it consists of scattered cottages, farmland and a small parish church, and feels distinctly rural while still being within commuting distance of Maidstone and London.
Locally the economy remains largely agricultural with a number of residents travelling to nearby towns for work; community life is centred on the village hall, church activities and occasional fairs, giving a close‑knit, village atmosphere. The settlement retains a sense of history in its lanes and older buildings, making it a good example of the quietly historic small communities that characterise this part of the county.
