Teston is a small riverside village just west of Maidstone in Kent, England, set on the north bank of the River Medway. It has a peaceful, rural feel with riverside towpaths popular with walkers, anglers and canoeists, and is overlooked by the historic stone Teston Bridge and the nearby lock that mark a lively stretch of the river.
The village is largely residential and often functions as a commuter base for Maidstone, but retains a close-knit community around its village hall, pub and local events; historically the river supported mills and light industry, while today leisure, boating and countryside visitors contribute to the local economy and character.
