Iwade is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Swale, in north Kent, England. It lies a short drive north‑east of Sittingbourne, close to the tidal channel of the Swale and the low‑lying marshes that separate the mainland from the Isle of Sheppey, giving the area a mix of rural character and easy access to coastal landscapes.
Historically an agricultural settlement, Iwade has grown in recent decades with modern housing and is now largely a commuter community while still keeping local life - a primary school, village hall, sports clubs and occasional fetes - at its heart. Good road links, notably the A249 providing routes towards the M2, mean residents can readily reach nearby towns and employment centres while enjoying a village atmosphere.
