Eastcliff is an electoral ward on the eastern side of the district of Thanet in Kent, England. It occupies a coastal, cliff‑facing strip with a mix of Victorian terraces, interwar housing and some more recent development; the seafront setting gives many streets sea views and a definite seaside character that draws occasional visitors as well as serving local daily life.
Like much of the Isle of Thanet, the ward has a history linked to the Victorian seaside boom and coastal trade, and today combines small independent shops, community facilities and a mix of owner‑occupied and social housing. It has been the focus of local regeneration and community initiatives aimed at improving economic opportunities and celebrating maritime heritage, while also facing the typical social challenges of many English coastal wards.
