Gressingham is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Lancaster, in Lancashire, England, tucked into the Lune Valley close to the banks of the River Lune and within easy reach of the village of Hornby. The landscape is largely agricultural, with lanes, stone farmhouses and a scattering of historic cottages that give the parish a quietly picturesque, off-the-beaten-track feel.
Although tiny, the parish has punched above its weight economically and culturally: the village name is best known nationally for the Gressingham duck, which began on a local farm and went on to become a well-known food brand. Locally there is a strong sense of community mixed with farming and some commuter households, and the riverside setting makes the area popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
