Nether Kellet is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Lancaster, in Lancashire, England, lying to the north of Lancaster and close to Carnforth. It sits amid gently rolling limestone countryside typical of the Lune valley area, with a landscape dominated by pasture, hedgerows and traditional stone farm buildings that give the place a distinctly pastoral character.
Historically agricultural, the community has retained a number of older houses and farmsteads and a modest village centre, while more recently some residents commute to nearby towns and the motorway corridor. Local life revolves around community facilities and parish activities, and the village’s quiet lanes and historic feel make it a representative example of rural north-west Lancashire settlements.
