Stoney Stanton

Stoney Stanton is a village and civil parish in the district of Blaby, in Leicestershire, England. It sits on gently rolling countryside to the south‑west of Leicester and close to Hinckley, forming part of the city’s commuter belt while retaining a distinct village character.

Historically the settlement grew around local stone quarrying - the geology that gave the place its name provided building material for the surrounding area - and that industrial past can still be read in old quarry sites and robust stone buildings.
